If you are among our clients using a GoldMine version prior to version 7.04.70302, you have probably noticed an error message that reads:
Please note that your computers system date is erroneously set to xx/xx/2011.GoldMine’s synchronization may not function properly unless the system date is correct. Would you like to correct the system’s date now?
FrontRange has determined that the error has no impact on GoldMine functionality, including synchronization, and therefore will not be providing a patch to fix it. The best solution for dealing with this error is to upgrade to the latest versions of GoldMine.

1. Answer NO each time GoldMine is launched and the message is received.
2. Utilize a third party application that can be configured to detect and answer pop-up dialogs. Many of these utilities are free. FrontRange does not test or endorse any of these products.
3. Use a command line macro to automatically answer NO to the prompt on login. Steps to create and deploy the macro are as follows:
a. Launch GoldMine and select No to message
b. Right-click in toolbar button area to open pop-up menu and select Record Macro…
c. Click: ALT+N
d. Click CTRL+SHIFT+END
e. The Define Macro Button dialog window will appear
i. Select Desired Macro button (for example: 1>)
ii. Enter desired Pop-up Quick Help Text (for example: No to Date message)
iii. Enter desired Status bar description (for example: Say NO)
iv. Click OK
f. Browse to the root GoldMine folder. Open the Macros folder. Locate the macro just created. (The macro will be named username.### where username is the name of the user logged into GoldMine when macros was created. Note the number assigned after the username.)
g. Right click on the shortcut used to launch GoldMine to open pop-up menu and select Properties.
h. Place your cursor at the end of all text in the Target textbox, enter a space and type /m:### (where ### is the number noted in step 6)
NOTE: The command line macro must be added to the target line of each shortcut utilized to launch GoldMine. For more information regarding the use of macros please see GoldMine Help.
